i am having problems with my nec e808n mobile phone
it will not transfer from 3g to 2.5g
when i go onto settings, then network it is all greyed out and will not let me go into it
on my screen it says 3g all the time and there should be an auto sign instead as i am outwith the three area most of the time
please help me rectify this problem as i can not see anything on the manual about automatic network search
the auto sign comes on screen when i first switch on for a few seconds then it says 3g and i can not get into the network seeting as the are all greyed out where it should say ok

Hi I brought a Nec e808N of eBay but have a virgin sim card which does not work can any one give me advise if I can unlock the phone to be able to use my virgin sim card or will I have to get new sim

NEC Temporary Unlock:
Put a 2G (GSM-SIM) Simcard and turn ON the phone.
#4960*xxxxxxxx#
*4960*xxxxxxxx*xxxxxxxx#
Turn OFF and ON again.
xxxxxxxx = any numbers
Remember the xxxxxxxx you used.
You will need to use same code in the furure.
Attention:
- This unlock method ONLY works with one Simcard. If you change to another Simcard, you will have to unlock again!
- This method depends on the firmware version. If didn't work only a cable soluction can help you. |
